Shakedra Beard, 37, transitioned from this life on Wednesday,  July 2, 2025 in Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, July 18, 2025 in the chapel of Hester Central State Funeral Home, 811 Louise Anne Avenue, Monroe, LA. Funeral service will be held on Saturday July 19, 2025 in the chapel of Hester Central State Funeral Home at 2 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Magnolia Cemetery on Desiard St., Monroe, LA.

They say memories are golden; well maybe that is true. I never wanted memories, I only wanted you. A million times I needed you, a million times I cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life, I loved you dearly, In death, I love you still. In my heart, you hold a place no one cold ever fill.
