Reverend Willie James Brown Sr., 71, transitioned from this life on April 16, 2026 in West Monroe, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 6 pm on Friday, April 24, 2026 in the chapel of Hester Central State Funeral Home, 811 Louise Anne Avenue, Monroe, Louisiana. Funeral service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Greater New Antioch Baptist Church, 301 Sherrouse Avenue, West Monroe, Louisiana. Burial will immediately follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Grammont Street, Monroe, Louisiana.

Perhaps you aren't ready yet to have to say goodbye, Perhaps you thought of things you wish you'd said, Well so have I. For one thing, I would have told you not to worry about me, I'm with the Lord in Heaven now, you knew that's where I'd be. I'm sorry that you're feeling sad for I'm so happy now; I've asked the Lord to ease your hurt and comfort you somehow. It's hard at the beginning but I know you'll make it through, I hope it helps to knows that I'll be waiting for you.
