Visitation will be on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 4pm to 6pm at Hester Central State Funeral Home located at 811 Louise Anne Avenue, Monroe, Louisiana. Funeral services will be at 1pm on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Hopewell Baptist Church, 448 Blankston Road, Columbia, Louisiana. Burial will immediate follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, 448 Blankston Road, Columbia, Louisiana. 

Just A Weaver

My life is but a weaving, between my Lord and me; I cannot choose the colors, he worketh steadily.  Often times he weaveth sorrow, and I , in foolish pride, forget he sees the upper, and I the under side. Not tile the loom is silent and the shuttle cease to fly, shall God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why. The dark threads are as needful, in the Weaver's skillful hand, as the threads of gold and silver in the patter he has planned. He knows, he loves, he cares, nothing this truth can dim. He gives his very best to those who chose to walk with him.
