Luchie Willis, Jr, 75, transitioned this life on July 12, 2022 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 10 am in the Richwood Memorial Gardens, located at 2705 Richwood Road, #2, Monroe, Louisiana. Visitation will be Monday, July 18, 2022 from 2pm to  5pm in the chapel of Hester's Central State Home. 

Time to come home dear brother, Your tour of duty is through, You've given as much as anyone could be expected to do. Just a few steps further, the smoke will start to clear. Others here will guide you. You have no need to fear. You have not failed your brothers. You dearly gave it all. And through your selfless actions, others will hear the call. So, take your place of honor, among those who have gone before; and now you will be remembered; for NOW and EVERMORE.
