Larry Joe Benjamin, Sr., 73, departed this life on Saturday, October 22, 2022 in Monroe, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 211 Mount Zion Street, Monroe, Louisiana at 11 am. Burial will be at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery Hwy 425, Rayville, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 2 pm to 6 pm in the chapel of Hester's Funeral Home. 

I am not There

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep; I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on snow; I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush; I am the swift uplifting rush; of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.  Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.
