Ira Mae Moore, 91, transitioned from this life on December 2, 2022, in Monroe, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Union Baptist Church, 4314 Highway 165 Bypass, Monroe, Louisiana. Burial will immediately follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 2p to 5pm in the chapel of Hester Central State Funeral Home located at 811 Louise Anne Avenue, Monroe, Louisiana. 

A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me". Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you. Keep smiling, and surely, the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls. I miss your all dearly, so keep up your chin, until the day comes, we're together again.
