Henry Smith, Jr., 70, transitioned from this life on February 5, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 from 2pm to 5pm in the chapel of Hester Central State Funeral Home 811 Louise Anne Avenue, Monroe, Louisiana. Graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Richwood Memorial Gardens, 2705 Richwood Road #2, Monroe, Louisiana. 

When I come to the end of the road; and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room; Why cry for a soul set-free? Miss me a little--but not too long and not with you head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared. Miss me --but let me go; for this is a journey that we must all take, and each much go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan--a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know, and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me-- but let me go.
