Gene E. Fitch, Sr., 73, transitioned from this life on Saturday, October 11, 2025 in Monroe, LA. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Hester Central State Funeral Home, 811 Louise Anne Ave., Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the chapel of Hester Central State Funeral Home. Burial will follow immediately at Magnolia Cemetery on Desiard St., Monroe, LA. 

A Fallen Limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me". Remember that best times, the laughter the song, the good life I live while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you. Keep smiling, and surely, the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest, Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin, until the day comes we're together again.
