Edward Daniel Smith, 39, transitioned from this life on July 18, 2023 in Monroe, Louisiana. Funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at St, James #2 Baptist Church, 2655 Richwood Road #2, Monroe, Louisiana. Burial will immediately follow at Magnolia Cemetery located on DeSiard Street in Monroe, Louisiana. Visitation will be held on July 29, 2023 from 12 noon to 1:20pm at St. James #2 Baptist Church. 

In my Heart

When you were a baby, I held you in my arms. when you were a child, I held you in my lap. when you were grown, I held you in my prayers. Now that you're gone, I hold you in my heart forever. Something will remind me, I never know just when. It might be something someone says and it all comes back again. the times we spent together, the happiness, the fun. Once again, I feel the pain of life without my son. It's said that time's a healer, I'm not sure this is true. There's not a day goes by, Son, that I don't cry for you.
