Bessie Faye McHenry-Jordan, 80, transitioned from this life on July 14, 2022, in Monroe, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the Mount Olivet Baptist Church, 500 Swayze Street, Monroe, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Richwood Memorial Gardens, 2705 Richwood Road, #2, Monroe, Louisiana. Visitation will be held Friday, July 29, 2022 from 2pm to 5pm in the chapel of Hester's Funeral Home. 

Soror Bessie McHenry-Jordan epitomizes the true ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She is seen by all as a leader and set the example of a true blue woman of excellence. The strong principles she demonstrated are signs of great moral character. She is now united in one spirit with other Zeta Phi Beta Sorority members that have gone on before her. We know the sky will be bluer and the pearly gates whiter because this phenomenal pearl is now part of the heavenly pearls. Like a rare gem found in the depths of the earth, this pearl lessons taught here on earth will forever remain in our hearts. Miss you Soror.
